RSS and Search Engine Optimization

RSS or "Really Simple Syndication" is exactly what its name suggests - a simple XML way of spreading your name across as well as the first to be informed by your favourite websites. For a long time now you get the information you want by visiting the sites you want. Needless to say this takes a lot of your time and effort. But what if you get all those latest and updated information without going anywhere but right in your feed reader? That is exactly what RSS feeds do.
RSS is one of the best ways you can share headlines and news in a website. It originates in 1997 and was designed by Netscape. RSS feeds help websites in many ways:

Collect and distribute news
Update information
Increase traffic
Reduce your efforts
Save your time

RSS feeds are read using a feed reader that can be desktop based, web based and even mobile based. They normally contain a title, the URL from which you are subscribing and a short description. RSS feeds come to you when you subscribe using a feed reader. It's a great help for both the sender and the receiver of the feeds. If you are a receiver you get a short summary of the news content from that particular website you are subscribing to. And if you are sender you get an opportunity to inform your customers of latest changes in your websites or products.
Promoting your RSS feeds are done more or less the same way you promote your website. There are different ways you can do that effectively:

The title in the feed should contain your main keywords.
The description should attract more visitors to your site.
The text should be an invitation to read the rest of your content.
Keep the text apt and short. Brevity is, after all, the soul of wit.
Categorise the feed into a particular theme. Readers usually subscribe based on themes.
Include any relevant information to contact you in the feed. Trust me, it helps. Subscribe the feed for yourself too. That adds credibility.
When a visitor clicks the link in your website to subscribe make it open in a new window so that they don't move away from your website completely.

A good RSS feed can create business for you in a short time. Make sure it appeals to readers and wait for your sales to go up. You won’t have to wait for long, that’s a bet.

What is RSS

What is RSS and How Can it Help Your Marketing?

You may have heard of RSS feeds, but you might still be wondering exactly what they are. RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication." RSS itself is just the format for delivering regularly updated web content. Blog feeds allow readers to keep up with the newest information posted on different sites, and people "subscribe" to the feeds of their choice.

For example, there are 20+ blogs out there that I really enjoy reading on a regular basis. I want to keep up with them because they help keep me up date with all of the latest information in my niche. However, I don’t want to have to go out to the web and pull up each blog individually every day in order to see if they have been updated. The solution to this is to use a “feedreader” to see all of my favorite blogs’ latest content all in one place. Feedreaders allow you to access new content in two main ways: in the actual reader itself or by email updates. One of the most popular feedreaders and the one that I use is Google Reader.

Why is this important for marketing ?

Two reasons: 1—It is a great way to stay current and educated on the things going on in your market or niche through blogs, and 2—It provides a simple way for people who are interested in you and what you have to offer to stay informed. You want to remain on people’s radars consistently so that even if they are not ready to buy from you now, you are able to stay top of mind for them when they are ready to. Just as an email newsletter helps to build and continue a relationship with its subscribers, a blog does the same with those who subscribe to its RSS feed.

By its very nature, social media allows content to be shared and spread far and wide across the web, resulting in more exposure for you and your business. Therefore, being able to share your blog’s content through multiple channels is crucial. For example, many social media services and platforms such as Facebook require you to provide an RSS feed address in order to syndicate your content.

Blog platforms such as WordPress come with feeds already built in and it’s pretty simple to find the RSS feed of your own blog. Just type the address of your site into a browser and add /feed right after it. I use a service called Feedburner through Google to manage my feed and give me detailed statistics on my site’s traffic and subscribers. I suggest you “burn” your feed as well to keep track of your subscribers at http://feedburner.google.com.

Now you know a bit more about RSS feeds and why they are such an integral part of having your own blog—or keeping up with the ones you like to read the most.

Link Building

Link Building Campaigns, the other half of the equation. The perfect mate to a perfectly optimized page is a well-structured link building campaign.

All search engines evaluate pages from a website for relevance of content. This, of course, is the basis for evaluating which sites rank higher for the targeted search term. In a perfect world for the search engines, the choice should be easy. However, what is a search to do if presented with the case of 5,000 perfectly optimized pages for the entered search term? Good question huh?

To gain popularity for your site, we use written content to produce articles. Now, we can either take your existing written content or we can create written content for you. Next, we submit this written content to article directories, blogs, directories and forums, touting the authority of your site for the targeted keyword. This generates inbound links, and therefore, popularity for your website in the search engines. Most importantly, this link generation creates buzz for your website and therefore you will begin to receive more traffic.

Easy Steps To Getting thousands Of Backlinks To Your Website

Link Popularity as you know plays a leading role in ranking of your websites within the Search Engines. So, the basic idea is, the more links pointing to your website, the higher up the search engines will rank your website. More prominently though is getting those High PR websites linking back to yours.

The question which is digging in your mind… “How can I get those High PR links without having to buy High PR links and/or spend countless hours surfing the web for link partners with the possible potential of being denied?”And as webmasters, we cannot afford to waste time, especially when you have just started your e-business.

So with that being said, I’m going to reveal to you the ‘Back Door’ strategy I use for getting those High PR links to your website Absolutely FREE and have them begging you to come back. And the cool thing is this can be done following these 3 steps I’m about to mention so pay attention because if you do just this, you will not only get hundreds of backlinks to your website, you’ll also get hundreds, if not thousands of Targeted visitors to your website at the same time……all for FREE!

Are you ready?

Good, because I am.

Step # 1 First you must write an Article.

The first step is to write a related article about your Product or Service that draws the reader in and gets them to click through to your website once they finish reading it to find out more about you and your Product or Service. Now, you’re probably wondering why you have to write an article.

Well, it’s real simple actually because what do you get to put at the end of your article?

Your ‘Resource Box’ with your website information and most important of all… your URL pointing back to your website. So when someone chooses to publish your article in their newsletter or on their website, blog or article directory, they MUST add your ‘Resource Box’ with your website information and URL. I know some of you are saying… “I don’t know how to write an article” … well, you’re not alone.

Step # 2 Submit your article to Article Directories.

This is the next step and an important one at that because this is where your article or articles are going to get picked up by website owners and/or ezine publishers who are in constant need of fresh, quality information to feed their audiences hunger for information. There are literally hundreds of Article Directories out there and thousands of ezine publishers looking for quality content on a daily basis. And if they choose your article for publication, they must include your ‘Resource Box’ with your websites information and URL. It’s all about the numbers. The more Article Directories and websites you submit your articles to, the more potential Backlinks you’ll get to your website.

And since Article Directories have recently adopted RSS(Real Simple Syndication) technology into the mix your articles will even get More mileage without you lifting a finger, creating even more Backlinks to your website.

More on RSS in a minute.

Are you starting to see the Power behind writing your own articles.

I hope so.

Step #
3 Create your own RSS Feed for your articles.

This last step is a very Powerful step as well.

What you need to do is set up your own RSS Feed for your articles.

Now, if you don’t know what RSS is here’s the basic definition…

RSS is by definition –an acronym for ‘Real Simple Syndication’ or ‘Rich Site Summary’, and the .XML extension is the format used for distributing your news headlines via the Web, which is known as ‘Syndication'.
Syndication’ is where the TRUE power of RSS is unleashed, getting your message or information across the web in an INSTANT to websites, subscribers and/or readers who subscribed to your RSS Feed. The easiest way for you to do this is to set up your own Blog either through…Wordpress Or through…

Blogger

Wordpress is a little more advanced so I recommend if you don’t have a lot of experience with Blogs or installing scripts that you go set up a Blogger blog which will only take you less than 5 minutes to do.

I’m just giving you some options, that’s all.
Once you’ve set up your Blog the only thing left for you to do is add you articles.

TIP: Make sure you hyperlink your URL and use Anchor Text with your most targeted keywords. By doing this the Search Engine spiders will rank your website higher under that keyword term you specify in your Anchor Text.

After you’ve added your articles all you have to do now is submit your new RSS Feed to RSS Directories and RSS Search Engines.

Now I know I dumped alot of information on you within this article so just take it Step-By-Step because once you implement it properly it will benefit you for years to come with Backlinks to your website and FREE targeted traffic via the Search Engines, Website Owners and eZine Publishers.

What is Link Popularity?

Link Popularity means what is the existence and presence of your
website in internet or world wide web. it can be measured as how many
sites or web pages link to you. Link popularity is a measure of both the
quantity and quality of sites that link to your site.

What is PageRank
?
Google PageRank can be termed as numeric tool from 1 to 10 to measure the importance of webpage. Google calculate the PageRank on the basis of quality of inbound links. Google PageRank is one of the factors for determining the search engine ranking of web page.

Search Engine’s algorithm is always changing to find artificial techniques to blow up link popularity to get higher search engine ranking. Natural link building strategies involve getting inbound links from all type of relevant sites ranging from PageRank 0-10.

Generally link buyer’s or link builder ask for a link from higher PageRank to get quick link popularity which is unnatural. If you have get 100 links and got 90 inbound links from PageRank 3-4 it will clearly indicate that some link buying has been done or some non ethical techniques has been used by a website to create inbound links.

Therefore you must get at least 25% inbound links from relevant webpage have PR zero to make your link building strategies more natural. In our opinion relevance of site giving inbound link is more important than PageRank. Getting inbound links from PageRank 0 is important factor of natural link building or link popularity strategies and must not be ignored.
